Age limits or restrictions apply.

 

5km Walk – children are encouraged to participate in the 5km walk. Children under 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult or guardian who is over the age of 18, and must be within arm’s reach of their guardian at all times during the event. Children under 12 will not be permitted to walk the event alone. The track is not suitable for prams.

 

Suggested gear

We recommend wearing your comfortable clothes and closed toe walking shoes/ runners. It’s best to train in the same footwear you plan to wear on event day to avoid any nasty blisters.

 

The event will proceed rain, hail or shine so keep an eye on the weather forecast and dress to the conditions.

 

No prams or dogs please.

None of the courses are suitable for prams. There are uneven and narrow tracks, rocks, loose gravel, tree roots, steep sections and boulders.

 

No dogs are permitted on this private property.

First aid and water stations

St Johns Ambulance will provide first-aid at two locations. The base first-aid station will be at the Walk Base Camp marshalling area and another aid station will be located on approximately 10km into the 19km course.

There are 3 refreshment stations along the course where you can rest, rehydrate and replenish on the snacks, water and electrolytes provided.

 

COVID Safe Event

Your safety is our priority and we take our responsibility to you, our volunteers, our staff and the public seriously.

 

To ensure we provide a COVID safe event we will be implementing the following procedures and precautions;

 

Constant monitoring of the Covid-19 situation and restrictions in place.

 

COVIDsafe plan approved by the relevant federal, state and local health authorities.

 

QR code check in at start line.

Appointed Covid safety marshals in place.

 

We encourage all participants to download the Australian Government Covid-19 app on their own device.

 

Hand sanitiser will be readily available at the start line, refreshment stations and finish line.

 

Participants will be given a starting time that must be adhered to. This will limit the number of people at the start line at any one time.

 

Participants will be required to check in and then start their walk immediately to avoid unnecessary waiting around.

 

Participants will be required to use their supplied water bottle. Refills will be available at various refreshment stations along the way.

 

Participants are naturally spread out as everyone walks at a different pace.
