CanDo Cancer Trust - Appropriaton

The Coffs Coast and Clarence CanDo Cancer Trust has recently received a $10,000 appropriation from Tour de Rocks.

The CanDo Cancer Trust is a local cancer charity that pays household bills for local cancer patients that are struggling financially.  They pay registration, rates, electricity, etc. as well as provide food and fuel vouchers.

The Trust is run by volunteers and has no administration costs, so every cent goes directly to the recipients.

CanDo has been operating for 11 years and has assisted over 1,200 families to the amount of over $600,000.

This year they have handed out over $70,000, which has increased dramatically due to COVID-19.

"The $10,000 supplied to us by Tour De Rocks will assist at least 13 families to cover some expenses and ease their burden. We receive about 5 applications per week, so we appreciate your support!", commented Julie Jardine (Chairperson). "Tour De Rocks have been fantastic supporters of CanDo and are vital to us being able to continue helping patients and their families in difficult times."
