How do I get to the start line?

Jump on the free shuttle bus, leaving at regular times from central Armidale to "Kenwood Park" and returning walkers after the event. (More details including pick up and drop times coming soon.)

 

Head east from Armidale CBD on Waterfall Way and turn right and follow Castledoyle Rd, turning right and continuing along Castledoyle Rd on the bitumen. Please take note of when the road becomes Blue Hole Road and changes to a dirt road, take the right hand turn onto Castledoyle Rd until you reach "Kenwood Park".

 

Can I register on the day?

No. Please register before the event. All walkers must have registered via the online registration process by midnight on Sunday 14th November 2021.

 

Will parking be available at the start/finish?

We are encouraging all of our  walkers to please make sure of the free shuttle bus service. (More details including pick up and drop times coming soon.)

 

Yes, there is parking available at “Kenwood Park”. We strongly encourage you to car pool and travel with your mates if at all possible.

 

Will there be food and drinks at the start/finish?

Yes. Food costs are covered in your registration. A coffee van will be located at the start/finish area at the Walk Base Camp.

 

Water will be available.

This will be a "cupless" event and, as part of your registration, you will receive your very own water bottle. No disposable cups will be provided.

What does my registration fee cover?

Your registration fee ensures that we can provide everyone with food, drinks, portaloos and all the important comforts and safety along your walk, as well as your very own t-shirt and water bottle.

 

What facilities are at the start/finish area?

Portaloos will be available at Walk Base Camp and several locations along the track. Food, water and snacks will be covered by your registration, plus a coffee van at the start/finish area at the Walk Base Camp.

 

How will the course be marked?

All tracks will be signed, marked with bright tape and manned with volunteer marshals along the course trails.

 

Is the course suitable for prams?

None of the event distances are really suitable for prams.

 

Can I use trekking poles?

Yes.
